    Early Bird Bonus

    Buy early and receive a dental discount plan

    Based on the Emory page activity rules, students who enroll before July 31 can receive a Careington 500 dental discount benefit. Careington 500 is a DIANins Early Bird special benefit, not a benefit underwritten by the insurance carrier; its retail value is $127 / year.

    6 months or shorter

    If your coverage period is 6 months or shorter, eligible Early Bird enrollment can receive 3 months of Careington 500 dental discount benefits.

    More than 7 months

    6 months of Careington

    If your coverage period is more than 7 months, eligible Early Bird enrollment can receive 6 months of Careington 500 dental discount benefits.

    More than 7 months of Blue 100

    12 months of Careington

    If you purchase more than 7 months of Blue 100, eligible Early Bird enrollment can receive 12 months of Careington 500 dental discount benefits.

    Refer a Friend

    Group of 3 referral bonus

    Based on the Emory page activity rules, before July 31, a group of 3 can participate in the Early Bird Group of 3 activity. If members are from different countries, the Referral Commission can increase to 2×–3×.

    More flexible groups

    Starting in 2026–2027, a group of 3 can include students from different countries, schools, plans, and coverage durations. If school, plan, or duration differs, upload a CSV file as required.

    Exactly 3 students required

    The Early Bird Group of 3 activity requires exactly 3 students. Groups of 4 or 5 do not qualify for this activity.

    Referral Code notes

    The primary enrollee cannot use their own Referral Code and should use a friend's code from the group. 2× / 3× rewards are processed manually.

    If Harvard rejects your waiver application, you can request a full refund according to DIANins refund support for waiver rejection cases.

    When should I purchase the plan?

    Purchase early enough to receive your insurance documents and submit the waiver before the school deadline. Avoid waiting until the last day.

    Can I ask for help with the waiver?

    Helpful terms to know

    Understanding these terms can make it easier to compare plan benefits and estimate your medical costs.

    Deductible

    The amount you pay out of pocket for covered medical services before your insurance starts paying more of the cost.

    Copay

    A fixed amount you pay for a covered service, such as a doctor visit or prescription, when the plan uses copays.

    Coinsurance

    The percentage of covered medical costs you pay after the deductible is met. For example, 20% coinsurance means you pay 20% of eligible costs.

    Out-of-pocket maximum

    The most you may pay for covered in-network care during the policy period. After reaching it, the plan usually pays 100% of covered costs.

    In-network

    Doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, or clinics that have an agreement with the plan network. In-network care usually costs less.

    Premium

    The price you pay to purchase and keep the insurance plan active for the selected coverage period.
